Sunglass Fix is committed to environmental sustainability, reducing impact through innovation, responsible manufacturing and partnerships that help protect the planet.

Since 2006, Sunglass Fix has been crafting precision replacement lenses from our Byron Bay workshop. What began as a small idea has grown into a global effort to keep quality sunglasses in use and out of landfill - saving over half a million pairs so far.
Sunglass Fix is proud to be part of the global 1% for the Planet network — a community of businesses giving back to environmental causes. Each year, we donate 1% of our annual sales to organisations protecting and restoring the natural world. It’s a simple idea that helps every purchase make a real difference.

We’re proud to have been named APAC Sustainable Business of the Year in 2022. The award recognises our continued commitment to local manufacturing, innovation, and environmentally responsible practices.
Our Diamond-Bio lenses deliver exceptional clarity and durability while reducing environmental impact. Made from 44% bio-based polyamide from renewable castor oil, each lens has up to 50% lower carbon emissions than traditional lenses.

Our packaging is designed with the planet in mind, featuring all the eco-friendly credentials you could wish for. It’s made from 100% recycled materials, fully recyclable and biodegradable - reducing waste without compromising on strength or protection.

Recognised for both form and function, our packaging was a finalist in the 2019 UK Design Week Awards for its innovative, sustainable design.

Strong yet ultra-lightweight corrugated cardboard allows us to ship lenses efficiently all over the world. By reducing emissions and freight costs, we make sustainability part of every delivery - and pass those savings on to customers with free shipping.

With 25KW of solar panels, our warehouse generates more energy than it consumes. Reusing materials and minimising waste helps us operate smarter and lighter on the planet, making every lens we ship even more sustainable.
Our lenses are made to last. If a lens breaks, our lifetime warranty ensures it can be replaced, keeping your sunglasses out of landfill. With around one billion pairs of sunglasses produced each year, every pair we can keep in use helps to reduce waste.
